Privacy Policy
Effective July 18, 2026
Lead Megaphone (“Lead Megaphone,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) builds and operates Chris, an inbox teammate for manufacturers. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you. It covers LeadMegaphone.com and the Chris service.
1. Information we collect
- Contact and company information, including your name, business email, company, website, location, and the information you submit during onboarding.
- Service content, including instructions, messages, attachments, corrections, approvals, and other material you intentionally email, forward, or otherwise provide to Chris.
- Work and account records, including approved jobs, sources, estimates, job and delivery activity, delivery status, permissions, support history, and the version, timestamp, text, and cryptographic hash of the Terms and Privacy acknowledgement accepted through the start form.
- Payment information. Stripe processes card and billing details. We receive transaction, subscription, and customer identifiers needed to administer the plan, but not the full card number.
- Technical data, including security, audit, reliability, and basic website usage records.
2. How the Chris mailbox works
The standard Chris experience uses a Lead Megaphone-managed business mailbox. Chris processes only the messages, threads, and attachments you send or forward to that address, together with the company context and public sources approved for the job. That does not give Chris general access to the rest of your Gmail, Google Drive, CRM, ERP, or other company systems.
If we later offer an optional direct Google connection, it will require a separate consent flow that identifies the requested permissions before access begins. The website, product behavior, and this policy will be updated before that connection is offered.
3. How we use information
We use information only as reasonably needed to:
- provide, operate, secure, and support Chris;
- complete the jobs and deliverables you approve;
- apply your confirmed corrections and working preferences;
- show and enforce plan usage, approvals, and job limits;
- process billing, renewal, cancellation, and account requests;
- prevent misuse and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your company information or service content, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Service providers
We use service providers only to the extent needed to operate the service. They currently include:
- Google for the managed Gmail delivery route;
- Anthropic to process relevant task content and generate the work requested through its commercial API;
- Stripe to process payments and subscriptions;
- hosting and database providers to run the site, isolate company workspaces, and retain service records.
As of this policy’s effective date, Anthropic states that commercial API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default. Anthropic also states that its standard API retention is generally 30 days, subject to the applicable agreement and legal or safety exceptions. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect customers, the service, or others.
5. Human review and customer boundaries
Authorized Lead Megaphone personnel may review service content when needed to onboard an account, verify a result, provide support, investigate a security issue, or perform another step disclosed as operator-assisted. Company workspaces are separated, and one customer’s information is not used as another customer’s company memory.
6. Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain required billing and audit records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. When you close the account or make a valid deletion request, we delete or de-identify information that we are not required to retain within a reasonable period. Provider backups and legally required records may take longer to expire.
7. Security
We use administrative and technical safeguards such as encrypted connections, restricted credential access, company workspace separation, approval boundaries, and delivery audit records. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
8. Your choices
You can stop sending or forwarding information to Chris at any time. You may also ask us to provide access to, correct, export, or delete information associated with your account, subject to identity verification and legal retention requirements. Any optional connection can be removed through its provider and by contacting us. Removing access stops future collection through that connection; it does not undo work already completed at your request.
9. Children
The service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will revise the effective date above and communicate material changes through the service, the website, or email as appropriate.
